So WhyRU the Series just dropped us a monumental finale a few days ago. Until now, I am still “moving on” from those kisses that essentially redefined how I will judge BL kisses going forward. To say that it froze me while watching it is a complete understatement; to say that it unnerved me is a complete fallacy; to say that it astonished me is right on target! However, looking back at my personal journey with WhyRU the Series is currently giving me a bittersweet kick in the gut.Continue reading “Of Boys & Men | The WhyRU the Series Experience [Opinion]”
How to review a BL series amidst the noise? In the case of WhyRU, it’s as simple as what you see is what you get. Nowadays, with fan service being the norm – it’s a little bit harder not to join in the fun. But the critical standard remains the same, and what are those criteria?Continue reading “Why RU: The Series – เพราะรักใช่ป่าว Episode 10-13 [Review]”
Thai BL Series (It’s all a matter of perspective. BL Female authors vs Gay Male world view) – An Opinion
Article photo features Saint & Zee (WhyRU Series)
I have been asked this question many times and I did ask myself too quite passionately. How do you reconcile a female BL author’s perspective of male + male romance vis-à-vis your own perspective from real-life experience?Continue reading “Thai BL Series (It’s all a matter of perspective. BL Female authors vs Gay Male world view) – An Opinion”
There is a certain distinctive trait in Tommy’s voice that would have you assume he’s a singer. Not that his role as Zon in WhyRU series is a giveaway. Looking back, it seems my instinct is spot on.
Tommy Sittichok Pueakpoolpol was a vocalist in a band with his buddies during high school. His musical inclination has paved the way for him to pursue an acting career – a profession that is unpredictable as it is challenging.Continue reading “Tommy Sittichok Pueakpoolpol – สิทธิโชค เผือกพูลผล [Profiler]”
At this point, viewers are familiar with WhyRU main couples’ dynamics. Tutor-Fighter (Saint and Zee) is more of a love-hate relationship with plenty of angst.Continue reading “Why RU: The Series – เพราะรักใช่ป่าว Episode 8-9 [Review]”

Zee Pruk as Fighter in WhyRU
It takes a certain level of dedication to dive into a character, especially so if you portray a BL role and you’re straight. I think though, sexual preference should be minimized as a point of reference and assess an actor based on performance. Zee Pruk as Fighter epitomizes the jock.
Episode 7 of WhyRU is an acting highlight for Saint Suppapong as he says goodbye to his sister who has supported him throughout his young and eventful life. Zee’s Fighter kept himself in the sideline amidst Tutor’s emotional turmoils. Yet at the end of the episode, he upped the ante for their growing intimacy.
On the spotlight! (From top to bottom) – Mos Saksitt, Gulf Kanawut, Toy Thanaphat, Bright Vachirawit, Ohm Pawat, Mix Sahaphap, Seng Wachit, Ohm Thitiwat, Boun Noppanut, and Pavel Phoom
Mos Saksitt appeals to me more from a male model standpoint. His provocative photos scream for attention and that reason alone, why is he not in any BL series? Let me know if you got inside info on him!
In celebration of PsychoMilk’s 5th year, I’m doing a day-to-day, blow-by-blow account of why Saint Suppapong is a BL phenomenon. I know he will be celebrated by a wider audience sooner than later.
And I have always wanted to chronicle his rise and rise since 2018.
Let me start my review by a quote:
Lie through your teeth – Today, it means to lie through a smile – easily and unashamed. But its origins go back to the 14th century, when the phrase was to “lie in your teeth” referring both to the liar’s teeth, and the teeth of the person being lied to. The meaning was similar to today’s phrase of “lying in your face.”
In the case of WhyRU episode 6, its lying through your kiss as Zee’s Tutor kept on repeating himself that all the concern and shower of affection for Saint’s Tutor are nothing but “tease”.
Episode 5 of WhyRU the Series represents a subtle departure from previous episodes as far as relationship development. Both our main couples – Zon-Saifah, Tutor-Fighter seem to have reached a turning point – perhaps its best to call it a point of no return. Continue reading “Why RU: The Series – เพราะรักใช่ป่าว Episode 5 [Review]”
Episode 4 of WhyRU The Series represents one-third of the whole, which means we have 8 more episodes to go. Episode 1 is not to my liking, yet I immediately sense a transition and the original intent of the filmmakers to offer something unique and unpredictable yet in a way – relatable. I’m in the opinion that the remaining episodes will feature delectable, juicy, intense and revealing details that will define this BL drama.
WhyRU, the Series came out strong not only for its visuals but also for its soundtrack. It is one of the most heavily promoted series from Thailand. With all the buzz created, people expect a high-quality “product” after being bombarded with amazing promotions.
Did Episode 1 deliver on the promise?
