Life Senjou no Bokura 線上の僕ら (2020) Episode 3 [Review]

In the first two episodes, we saw Itou & Yuki meet and fall in love with each other, almost like they were fated to be together. After initial years of trying to be in sync with each other and their own desires & expectations, the two have fallen into somewhat domesticated life routines by the age of 25. 

We are just little dots that were forced into this world like this,  helpless and lonely. That is why someday we search for another dot to connect with, Someone that we can form a line with and live on…

Life Senjou no Bokura 線上の僕ら (2020) | Episode 2 [Review]

In the first episode, we watched Ito playing his lonely game walking on the line when he meets another high school student, the naïve but friendly Nishi playing a similar game of ‘white line.’ Ito instantly falls for Nishi’s uncomplicated charms. As a result of an impulsive kiss, the boys’ feelings for each other blossom and thus a new game starts – to walk together.

Takumi-kun Series Part 5: Ano, Hareta Aozora [Movie Review]

Directed by Kiyoshi Yokoi. This is the fifth and most highly anticipated installment of the Takumi-kun series. This is also reportedly the last movie that Hamao Kyosuke and Daisuke Watanabe reprise their roles as the couple Takumi and Gii. What is different about this movie from all the others is that it’s now told mostly from Gii’s perspective. Of all the Takumi-kun movies, this has the longest running time.

Takumi-kun Series Part 4: Pure [Movie Review]

Directed by Takeshi Yokoi. This is the fourth installment of the Takumi-kun series. The movie begins as Takumi and his friend, Shingyouji decorate a room for the upcoming Tanabata Day on July 7. This is a Japanese star festival where people celebrate it by writing their wishes and hopes on pieces of paper. This time Takumi and Gii take a backseat in Pure as it explores the romance between Misu Arata and Shingyouji Kanemitsu and how it all began. Another couple that was previously introduced in the first movie is also included here, Izumi Takabayashi and Michio Yoshitaka. The movie explores how destiny, conflicts, and love affects their lives. Pure is mostly told from Shingyouji’s perspective.

Takumi-kun Series Part 3: Bibou no Detail [Movie Review]

Directed by Takeshi Yokoi. This is the third installment of the Takumi-kun series. A new school year begins and Takumi is now in his third year in Shidou Gakuin. Although changes are typically expected, Takumi was not counting on his boyfriend Gii to drastically change causing Takumi to retreat to his old self that he had fought so hard to overcome.

Takumi-kun Series Part 1: Soshite, Harukaze ni Sasayaite [Movie Review]

The movie is an adaptation of the manga Takumi-kun Series written by Shinobu Gotoh. This romantic drama takes place in Shidou Academy, an exclusive boarding school for boys. It tells about a young boy named Takumi Hayama who struggles with psychoemotional issues brought about by a troubled past. His life is about to change in more ways than he expected when he meets the popular and charismatic Saki Giichi who not only suddenly saves him from bullies but much to his surprise ends up becoming his roommate as they start their second year in high school.
