Absolute Zero – องศาสูญ The Series (2021)

Much credit to the ingenious mind of one Khun Salil when the author transformed a rather obscure, very scientific term Absolute Zero – with no romantic or relational definition – into something associated with the heart and its various terms of endearment and failings. Recent reports suggest that Studio Wabi-Sabi (Love by Chance, UWMA Series) has acquired the rights to turn the novel into a live-action adaptation.

Of Boys & Men | The WhyRU the Series Experience [Opinion]

So WhyRU the Series just dropped us a monumental finale a few days ago. Until now, I am still “moving on” from those kisses that essentially redefined how I will judge BL kisses going forward. To say that it froze me while watching it is a complete understatement; to say that it unnerved me is a complete fallacy; to say that it astonished me is right on target! However, looking back at my personal journey with WhyRU the Series is currently giving me a bittersweet kick in the gut.

The Shipper – จิ้นนายกลายเป็นฉัน (2020)

6 May 2020 update: Watch the official trailer (after the jump). The series is to air starting May 22nd, 2020 this series replaces 2Gether the Series on its GMM-tv timeslot, which is 10pm Bangkok time.

I’m in awe how Ohm Pawat has captured the imagination of BL watchers around the world. Aside from He’s Coming to Me and Dew, the movie, he plays an admittedly a ‘second lead’ in GMMtv’s 2020 gender-bender romcom/BL concoction entitled The Shipper – จิ้นนายกลายเป็นฉัน.

Love By Chance Season 2 – รักนี้บังเอิญคือคุณ (2020)

Season 2 of Love By Chance will focus on Tin-Can (the second main couple) due to the lack of an effective conclusion in the initial season. Fans are demanding closure and the production team has obliged. Reports now indicate that Studio Wabi Sabi has entered into an agreement with a streaming service in South Korea to air Love by Chance Season 1. Nexus International deals with an exclusive BL brand named Blue Romance who will serve as an “official link between the studio and the Korean & international fan bases”. While the drama is readily available on YouTube, this broadcast will be for Korean archipelago-specific and will, therefore, subbed accordingly.

4 May 2020 updates: The acting workshops will start next week onward (3 times per week). Filming starts at the end of May and the expected date to broadcast is August to November 2020 (Total 12 episodes)

Restart wa Tadaima no Atode – リスタートはただいまのあとで (2020)

Two of Japan’s reputable character-driven actors Yuki Furukawa and Ryo Ryusei star as good friends turned “intimate” in this live-action adaptation of a manga (Restart After Come Back Home) by author Cocomi. It is slated for release in the last quarter of 2020.

Yuki Furukawa portrays Mitsuomi Kozuka and is described as an Oranyan, the male equivalent of what many Yaoi fans know as a tsundere. (Tsundere (ツンデレ) is a Japanese term for a character development process that depicts a person who is initially cold (and sometimes even hostile) before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time.
