Chasing Sunsets The Series – Episode 4 | A GL Series [Review]

Even the strongest person gets tired. And finally, the time has come for Farrah to put her feelings on pause, to breathe, and let go. Since the very first episode, Farrah has become everyone’s anchor as she is the one who stands strong during the tough times and prevents them from drowning. But she can’t bottle up her emotions any longer, and she breaks down. The fourth episode of Chasing Sunsets the Series, brings us closer to Farrah’s struggle as an independent woman in a world dominated by prejudice and discrimination. Sometimes in life, it is our own expectations that hurt us and lead us to misery.

A Look Back: Red Wine in The Dark Night (2015) [Review]

BL feature films are literal chimera’s of the BL genre to fans. On the one hand, you have the Boys Love format we all know and love. But then there is the need to reach a much larger audience. For that, you have to create a larger scope of perspective, have more characters than normal, and a gripping story. Lastly, what makes a BL film either a success or a failure is the content. No longer bound by the inherent censorship of a television network, a BL film can get away with much more than a show can. This freedom from censorship allows more room to either grab the audience’s attention like in “The Blue Hour” or lose the audiences like in “Bittersweet Chocolate.” For Writer and Director Tanwarin Sukkhapisit’s feature film “Red Wine in The Dark Night,” the challenge of creating an arresting and interesting film was presented, accepted, and accomplished.

Chasing Sunsets The Series – Episode 3 | A GL Series [Review]

“With Me” The title of the third episode of Chasing Sunsets the Series resembles Lara’s invitation to Farrah to be part of her ‘chaotic’ life. For Farrah herself, the answer to that invitation was given long before she learned the truth about Lara. Since the day that their eyes met, Farrah has known that she would fall deeply for the girl with the broken smile. So when Lara asks her to be by her side, Farrah gladly accepts. However, life often gets way too complicated for both of them.

Truly Very Yours Review (Episodes 1-5) [Review]

Those things we can’t find closure on, they will haunt us. I think that phrase best described the journey of Mark in Truly Very Yours, a new Pinoy BL series that aims to bring more colors into the emerging BL industry in the Philippines. Surrounded by tough competition, such as Gameboys the Series, Hello Stranger, and Sakristan, Truly Very Yours hopes to attract viewers’ attention by offering a simple love story that is close to their daily lives. Although it seems promising, I can’t stop myself but ask, will it be enough to make it memorable?

Well, let’s find out!

Chasing Sunsets The Series – Episode 2 | A GL Series [Review]

The first episode of Chasing Sunsets the Series left viewers with unsolved mysteries, especially about Dominic. Whether he is real or merely a figment of Lara’s imagination is a question that has been bugging viewers for days, and they hope to find the answer in the following episode. On the other hand, Farrah is more determined to get closer to Lara by offering her sincere friendship. The latter is interested but seems hesitant as she might not be ready to open up to anyone.

Every story, even the one that we love so dearly, must eventually come to an end. And it’s about time to say goodbye to Gun and Bar as they conclude their love story in the final episode of TOSSARA. Previously, the doctor and the head hazer have come clean about their relationship by announcing their status as boyfriends to the whole university. With them being a couple and no further obstacles coming to their relationship, it seems that they have gotten their perfect ending already. Thus, I can’t help but ask: is it even necessary to add another episode to the series?

Well, let’s find out!

Chasing Sunsets The Series – Episode 1 | A GL Series [Review]

Talking about mental health is never easy, neither in real life or a TV series. We should remain truthful and honest, but at the same time, we must be cautious not to result in the stigma about mental disorders. Keeping that in mind, Chasing Sunsets – the Series aims to debunk the myths about people with mental disorders as well as increasing society’s awareness of mental health issues. To reach more people, they narrate their story using the universal language of humankind, LOVE.

Because love accepts us with no conditions.  In love, all of us are equal.” – Lara from Chasing Sunsets the Series

EN of Love – TOSSARA: Episode 1 [Review]

Anything worth having is worth waiting for. This phrase resonates well with the love story of Gun and Bar in the popular Boys Love series, EN of Love: TOSSARA. Despite the harsh competition in the Thai BL industry when the series aired, it was still able to capture many hearts with its simple and relatable story. Moreover, as the first installment of En of Love The Series, TOSSARA has successfully opened the door of popularity for the two follow-up series.
