Winter Begonia – 鬓边不是海棠红 (Episodes 11 – 20) [Review]

Winter Begonia is currently one of the most talked-about Chinese Bromance dramas. The show’s magnificent sets, coupled with the beautiful period costumes that take us back to the bygone era as well as the main leads’ almost bubbly chemistry is making it hugely popular. Producers spare no expense in costuming, or set design running reportedly up to nearly $1,200,000 US per episode.

My Engineer เมีย’s วิศวะ – Episodes 7-9 [Review]

The characters and their stories have a smooth transition from Episode 7 onwards. When I say it’s smooth, it doesn’t mean that they don’t have problems anymore. Nope, it’s quite the opposite. I just want to point out the fact that four different couples have been settled, and each story progresses on its own. The true beauty of this drama series is that each couple has an individual storyline that doesn’t overlap.

The Sleuth of Ming Dynasty 明代侦探|iQIYI (2020) (Ep.21 to 30)

The Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty has been in the news because of its distinct mix of a crime thriller, the period art direction, costumes coupled with the lead pair’s chemistry. A “chemistry,” I might add, that hasn’t been thoroughly glossed over as “Bromance.” Tang Fan and Sui Zhou make a formidable pair. Add in the nefarious yet cunning Commander Wang Zhi, and we have a potboiler of an intriguing set up that keeps the fans hooked on this drama.

My Engineer เมีย’s วิศวะ – Episode 4-6 [Review]

We have our character roles defined and explained meticulously in the first three episodes. It is not going to be a smooth-sailing journey. There will be pitfalls, but you need to have patience, as slowly the storyline progresses and sets up a steady pace. As we get to know the characters more in-depth, you fall for their positives as well as their negatives. None of our characters are heroes; they have flaws and are human. But that’s what makes you love them. I’m going to review the episodes for each couple, so we don’t have glitches. Let’s dive into the review.
