We had the opportunity to sit down with Nine and get answers to questions that his fans want to know.

1 – How much do you relate to your character Kit in real life? What were some of the challenges playing the character, and how you overcame those challenges?

1 – คุณคิดว่าตัวละครกิตมีอะไรที่คล้ายกับตัวของคุณบ้างไหม และการรับบทนี้มีความท้าทายและต้องปรับตัวอย่างไรบ้าง

Almost everything! Being from a Chinese family, a tsundere (never speaks his mind), overthinks, doesn’t readily express themselves, easy to annoy, but in all actuality, is a very sensitive person. The challenge becomes more of how can I portray this role to let the audience know that this character doesn’t want or isn’t equipped to express himself openly, however, feels that there is something that he always wants to say but never dares.

เหมือนเกือบทุกอย่างเลยคับ ตั้งแต่บ้านเป็นคนจีน เป็นคนปากไม่ตรงกับใจ เป็นคนคิดมาก ไม่ค่อยแสดงออก ขี้เหวี่ยงขี้วีน แต่จริงๆอ่อนไหวมากๆ ความท้าทายน่าจะเป็นเรื่องของการแสดงออกยังไงให้คนดูรู้ว่าตัวละครไม่อยากแสดงออก และทำให้เค้ารู้ว่ามันมีสิ่งที่เราอยากจะพูดออกไป แต่มันไม่กล้าน่ะครับ

2 – How would you grade yourself as an actor, an aspiring singer and a Travel Show Host? What according to you, is your true calling?

2 – คุณให้คะแนนตัวเอง ในการเป็นนักแสดง นักร้อง หรือพิธีกรรายการนำเที่ยวเท่าไหร่คะ และอะไรคือสิ่งที่รู้สึกชอบมากที่สุด

Right now I would grade myself as 1-2 points because I just joined this industry. I feel that I can improve with more acting experience that I don’t have yet. The part that I like the most is……actually everything! It’s fun and challenging in different ways.

คิดว่าตอนนี้คงอยู่ที่ 1,2 คะแนนครับ ด้วยความที่พึ่งเริ่มเข้ามาในวงการและรู้สึกว่าพัฒนาได้อีกเยอะ และมีประสบการณ์อีกมากที่ยังไม่เคยเจอ สิ่งที่ชอบที่สุด เอาจริงๆชอบทุกอย่างเลยครับ ที่สุดทั้งหมด มันสนุกและท้าทายครละทางน่ะครับ

3 – You have a lot of fans following you on social media. How do you handle all the pressure from the virtual ‘paparazzi’ who seem hell-bent on dissecting your life? Do you want to share your feelings about this?

3 – คุณมีแฟนคลับติดตามอยู่ค่อนข้างมาก คุณมีการรับมือกับความกดดันจากปาปารัซซี่ที่เข้ามารบกวนอย่างไรคะ อยากจะแชร์อะไรเกี่ยวกับเรื่องนี้ไหม

Actually at first, I wasn’t used to being watched so closely. However, when the time comes, we’ll need to be more careful with our actions and what we do in public. Now, it is like practicing to be yourself. To be honest, that’s all I can do. As for inconsequential matters – I will try not to take it to heart because it will make me feel worse.

จริงๆแล้วแรกๆก็ไม่ชินกับการโดนจับตามองหรอกครับ แต่พอไปๆมาๆ มันทำให้เราคิดว่า เราเองที่ต้องทำอะไรระวังมากขึ้น มันก็เหมือนฝึกตัวเองไปด้วยน่ะครับ เอาจริงๆมีแต่ได้กับได้นะ ส่วนเรื่องที่ไม่เป็นเรื่องผมจะพยายามไม่ใส่ใจครับ เพราะมันทำให้จิตใจผมแย่ลง

4 – Will you continue acting in BL dramas in future or do you have other interests like movies? If yes, then what is the kind of script that would draw you in?

4 – คุณมีความคิดที่ยังจะแสดงภาพยนตร์หรือซีรีวายต่อไปในอนาคตอีกไหม หรือคุณสนใจมีงานด้านอื่นอย่างเช่นเล่นหนังอะไรไหมคะ และถ้าใช่คิดว่าชอบบทแนวไหน

Actually, I really want to do it for the acting and experience. It doesn’t matter if it’s BL or other kind of series. If the producer thinks I’m a good fit for a role in a series or movie or sees my potential in a different type of role, I’m ready.

I’d like a role that requires me to immerse myself more deeply like a problem child, boy or girl. I’m told that I could do a female character because I have a feminine face, and I think it would kind of be challenging to act in a different gender. At this point, I don’t really have a favorite role I’ve played – I haven’t had that many roles yet.

จริงๆแล้วถ้าเรื่องของการแสดง อยากเล่นอยู่แล้วครับ ซีรี่ย์วายก็ได้ไม่ติดครับ ถ้าผู้จัดคิดว่าผมเหมาะกับตัวละครหรือเห็นถึงศักยภาพผม ในประเภทอื่นๆ ผมอยากลองเล่นบทที่จะต้องคลุกคลีกับมันมากๆเช่น เด็กมีปัญหา หรือผู้หญิงซึ่งเป็นบทที่ผมน่าจะเล่นได้ด้วยความที่หลายๆคนบอกว่าหน้าหวาน และคิดว่ามันคงท้าทายดีในการที่เราพลิกเป็นอีกเพศนึงเลย บทที่ชอบที่สุดตอนนี้ยังตัดสินใจไม่ได้เลยครับ พอดีผมยังไม่ได้มีผลงานมากขนาดนั้น

5 – J9 is a brand that can almost sell anything. When you auditioned for 2moons2, did you expect this kind of popularity. What would you like to say to your fans

5 – จุงนายเป็นคู่ที่ขายอะไรก็ได้ ตอนที่ไปคัดตัวเรื่อง 2moons คุณเคยคิดไหมคะว่าจะดังแบบนี้ อยากจะบอกอะไรแฟนไหมคะ

I never expected to be famous because according to the novel, Dr Kit is a supporting role and not highlighted very much, which was fine with me. However, on release of the series, I wanted fans to know that I did my homework on this role, studying the character closely, and doing my best to convey Kit as a real person. I was rewarded by fans who appreciated my efforts by thanking me and giving me encouragement, and even more followers.

I want to tell all the fans Thank You so much for seeing my potential. and supporting me and my acting while pushing me to keep improving always. Please stay with me if possible until I have more and more work! I won’t let you guys down!

ไม่เคยคิดว่าจะดังเลยครับ ด้วยความที่ตามนิยาย หมอคิทเป็นตัวรองที่แทบจะไม่ได้มีบทเด่นอะไรเลย ซึ่งเหมือนมันเป็นจังหว่ะที่ดีด้วยแหล่ะครับ กับการปล่อย รวมถึงพูดตรงๆคือผมก็ทำการบ้านในการเข้าใจตัวละครเยอะพอสมควร ทำให้แฟนๆน่าจะรู้สึกตัวละครของผมได้ในระดับนึงส่งผลให้มีผู้ติดตามมากขึ้นมากๆเลยครับ ก็อยากบอกแฟนๆทุกคนว่า ขอบคุณจริงๆครับ ที่เห็นศักยภาพผมและสนับสนุนพร้อมผลักดันแล้วก็เป็นกำลังใจให้เด็กคนนี้มาตลอด เป็นไปได้ก็อยู่ด้วยกันไปเรื่อยๆจนผมมีผลงานเยอะๆๆเลยนะครับ แล้วผมจะไม่ทำให้ทุกคนผิดหวังนะะ
